On September 23, 1955, Ruth was united in marriage to Donald F. Guindon at Trinity Lutheran Church in White Lake. They made their home on a farm north of Plankinton, SD for many years. They were blessed with five children: Martin (Wendy) Guindon of Pierre, SD, Curtis (Kathy) Guindon of Plankinton, SD, Russell Guindon (Heidi Chlarson) of Carson City, NV, Karla (Jerry) Podhradsky of Brandon, SD and Cory (Cyndi) Guindon of Chandler, AZ.
